Our surface treatment process includes the use of technologies such as laser surface treatment, thermal spray, paint coating, and electroless plating. We offer anti corrosive treatments like surface treatment and coating thereby ensuring the machinery or parts of it remain corrosion free for all its service life. The types of surface treatments offered by us are –

Solid Non-Friction Coating – The process uses lubricants that increase the anti corrosive properties of materials subjected to extreme environments such as surrounding the exploration of oil and gas. The environments consist of high and low temperature and pressure. The coating helps to reduce friction between the surfaces of machine components thereby preempting galling and seizing in high or low temperature conditions where fluids may vaporize or freeze.

Phosphating – The process involves the application of a dilute solution comprising phosphate salts and phosphoric acid on a machine tool. The subsequent chemical reaction helps to form a layer of crystalline and insoluble phosphates on the surface of the tool. This is an effective pre-treatment method to provide corrosion protection and reduce friction between the sliding parts of machinery used in the harsh environs of the oil and gas industry.

Shot Peening – It produces a residual stress layer and modifies the mechanical properties of composites and metals. This cold work process involves accelerating the spherical media towards the surface of a component thereby creating plastic deformation. As the surface stretches, the material around the deformation forms an area of compressive residual stress. This helps to stop fatigue and stress corrosion, and enhances the life cycle of components as well as their maximum load capacities.

Bead Blasting – The process removes surface deposits on the components of equipment used in the oil and gas industry. Here, surface imperfections like burrs, rusts, and paint removal are addressed and turned into a matte type finish by blasting the component(s) with glass beads at a high pressure. Our finishing systems house a large inventory of various types of blasting media.

Cold Roll – The process helps to form high quality and polished surfaces with a specific structure. Here, plastic deformation occurs when the compressive stress at the cusp of the workpiece surface and cold roll tool exceeds the strength of the workpiece. The process increases the fatigue strength of components used in extreme temperature zones like the oil and gas industry.

Honing – This abrasive machining process involves the scrubbing of an abrasive stone against a metal surface (along a controlled path) thereby creating a smooth surface. It improves the texture and geometric form of a metal surface. Honing offers the perfect solutions to clean carbon deposits like soot from metal components and pipes used in extreme environments like in the oil and gas exploration.

Grinding – The process involves cutting by using abrasive particles wherein the speed of the grinding wheel is greater when compared to other processes like milling and turning. The mechanical attrition involved in the process helps to repair tools using coated abrasives.
